My interest and passion for counselling began after I had experienced my own personal therapy. A few years later, I was still curious and eager to learn more about what I had experienced and once I was back in a classroom I was hooked. I loved learning about human behaviours, attachment, relationships, the neuroscience behind the flight or fight…the list goes on.

However, the most valuable element for me is the connection between two people in that therapeutic relationship. Being truly heard and understood is a vital part of therapy and it is a privilege to be allowed to accompany someone on their journey.

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and an accredited registered member of the National Counselling Society (NCS).

My experience includes working with: anxiety, depression, panic attacks, identity issues, domestic and sexual abuse, trauma, control and coercion.

Some people know exactly why they are seeking therapy but for many other people they enter into counselling not sure or understanding why they are experiencing difficulties in their life; they may feel unhappy or stressed without knowing a reason. If this sounds familiar, be assured that working together, can increase your levels of awareness, motivation, self-esteem and personal growth.

My belief is that we are all unique and individual, we have our own lived experience in the world around us and as such I believe you are the expert in your own life. I work collaboratively with my clients, I will offer you any knowledge which may be appropriate to your situation but I will not tell you what to do. I place a great importance on the counselling relationship, which is built through trust, respect and authenticity. This ensures that each client has therapy specific and meaningful to you.

As an Integrative counsellor I draw from a range of approaches which are underpinned by a relational and person-centred theory. I work with clients one to one, either face to face or via the telephone or video calls.
